I then went on to
select 5 versions of the fonts from both Bodoni and Helvetica. I tried to apply
the same effects to other letterforms to give me a better perspective on which
fonts look better as a group not a single letter form. I felt the designs which
used thin and semi serifs worked best, and even the combination of a sans serif

smart and clean cut letterform. Throughout designing both fonts I found I swayed
toward the bold versions as I felt they were more confident.

After my interim crit,
I had my 2 chosen fonts to take into final development. Like earlier in the
project I tried the different fonts in the typeface but in the manipulated style.
This allowed me to make sure I had looked at all possibilities for what
functionally suited the word suave.
