Studio brief 2: Where suave fonts are used OUGD403

Where are suave fonts used?

The word suave to me says high end and classy, yet not being over cocky. I feel companies that relate to being suave are upmarket brands like sports cars and expensive fashion wear. Brands like Ferrari and Zara represent this word well.

They both use thick strokes making their font seem confident, as well as curved letterforms making the logos look sleek and flowing. Ferrari’s is a lot more robust keeping the same stroke width throughout, in contrast to Zara having variation of stroke due to the font Bodoni. this is the same with the brackets, both use to create the wealthy mood but for very different target markets.
